Church Merch Stores by Abundios
Give Your Congregation a Year-Round Way to Support Your Ministry
A fully managed, church-branded merch store that raises funds for youth trips, missions, ministries and special campaigns, with no boxes in the fellowship hall and no volunteers packing orders.
Fundraising Shouldn't Mean Starting From Scratch Every Season
Your members already love their church. A dedicated merch store gives them a simple way to support the ministry while carrying your church's name to work, school, games and the grocery store.
Unlike a one-time T-shirt order, your store stays open between Sundays, events and campaigns, so families, alumni and members who have moved away can shop any time.
Your Church Keeps the Remaining Net Proceeds
Your church keeps the difference between the retail price and the managed price, minus applicable transaction expenses.
The 40% is a markup on the base production cost. It is not 40% of the retail price.
Shipping, taxes, payment-processing charges, refunds, discounts and other applicable expenses may affect final proceeds. Shipping and taxes are not proceeds.
Managed Store Pricing Example| Pricing step | How it's calculated | Example |
|---|
| Base production cost | Cost to make the product | $15.00 |

| Abundios management markup | 40% of base production cost | $6.00 |
|---|
| Managed product price | Base production cost × 1.40 | $21.00 |
|---|
| Public retail price | Set with your church based on your member price and fundraising goals | $30.00 |
|---|
| Potential proceeds to your church | Retail price − managed product price, before applicable expenses | $9.00 |

What Could Your Merchandise Store Generate?
Your merchandise store’s potential depends on your audience, product selection, retail prices and how consistently your organization promotes it. Use the calculator below to explore different monthly sales scenarios.
In this illustrative collection, the organization would receive approximately $9 to $11 per item after estimated payment-processing fees and before any discounts, refunds or other expenses. This produces an estimated average of approximately $10 per item.
The managed product cost includes the base production cost plus Abundios’ 40% management markup.
Estimated at Shopify’s standard online card rate of 2.9% + 30¢ on a single-item order. Processing fees are deducted from proceeds at cost. Abundios does not mark up processing fees.

Estimate Your Organization’s Potential
Enter information about the audience you expect to reach each month.
Important: This calculator provides illustrative estimates only. It does not predict or guarantee sales, revenue, fundraising results or organization proceeds. Actual results depend on audience size, audience engagement, promotion, product selection, product costs, retail prices, order volume, discounts, refunds, actual payment-processing fees and other applicable expenses.
The estimates do not represent money received by Abundios or the total retail sales collected through the store. They represent estimated client or organization proceeds based on the assumptions entered.
Your monthly management fee includes your store’s Shopify plan. The $250 monthly minimum can be satisfied through Abundios’ management markup on qualifying orders. If the markup earned during a month is less than $250, the client pays only the difference.
The calculator excludes shipping and sales tax. It does not deduct management markup, processing fees or the monthly minimum again, and it does not calculate a minimum shortfall.
- Default assumptions: 1,000 monthly reachable people, 3% buyers, 1 item per buyer and $10 in fundraising proceeds per item after estimated processing fees.
- Estimated Monthly Buyers: 30
- Estimated Monthly Items Sold: 30
- Potential Monthly Fundraising Proceeds: $300
- Potential Annual Fundraising Proceeds: $3,600
A Small Percentage Can Add Up
A nonprofit or church that consistently reaches 2,500 supporters each month would need about 5% of them — roughly 1 in 20, or 125 supporters — to purchase one item to generate an estimated $1,250 in monthly fundraising proceeds at an average of $10 per item.
Your Audience Determines the Opportunity
The larger and more engaged your audience is, the more potential your merchandise program may have. Your audience could include:
- Members
- Visitors
- Families
- Volunteers
- Ministry participants
- Alumni
- Community supporters
- Event attendees
- Email subscribers
- Social media followers
Promotion Makes the Difference
Abundios builds and operates the merchandise system, but your organization must consistently introduce and promote the store. Merchandise sales are not automatic.
Promote the store through your website, email list, social media, employee or member communications, recruiting materials, events, seasonal campaigns and other channels that reach your audience.

Managed Church Merch Store Pricing
Abundios builds, operates and maintains your church's merchandise store. Choose the level that fits your congregation.
Essentials, $2,500: A fully managed church store for one audience. Up to 20 launch products.
Professional, $4,500: Several ministries, campuses or buyer groups in one store. Up to 40 launch products, ministry collections and a launch promotion kit.
Custom, $7,500: Multi-campus, multi-store or multi-church programs, larger catalogs, advanced purchasing rules and integrations as scoped.
A standard Essentials store launches about two weeks after all required materials and approvals are received. Professional and Custom timelines are confirmed in your proposal.
Starting prices cover implementation. Final pricing depends on products, design requirements, buyer groups, integrations, purchasing rules and complexity. Additional products beyond your tier are quoted separately.
Ongoing management for all managed stores: 40% management markup on base production cost, with a $250 monthly minimum credited dollar for dollar by qualifying earned markup.
Standalone Store Builds start at $7,500 for churches that want to own and operate their store. They include strategy, configuration, product setup, production integration, payment and shipping setup, basic purchasing automations, testing, training, documentation, handoff and 30 days of post-launch support.
How Proceeds Work
Abundios operates the merchandise store and adds a 40% management markup to the base production cost of each product.
Base production cost: what it costs to make the item
Managed product price: base production cost plus a 40% management markup
Retail price: the public price you help set
Your church keeps the difference between the retail price and the managed price, minus applicable transaction expenses.
The 40% is a markup on the base production cost. It is not 40% of the retail price.
Shipping, taxes, payment-processing charges, refunds, discounts and other applicable expenses may affect final proceeds. Shipping and taxes are not proceeds.
Proceeds are paid on the 15th of the following month with a detailed statement. If the 15th falls on a weekend or banking holiday, payment is issued the next business day.

Monthly Management Minimum
Each managed store has a $250 monthly management minimum.
The management markup Abundios earns on qualifying orders is credited toward the minimum dollar for dollar. If the store earns at least $250 in management markup during the month, nothing more is due. If it earns less, your church pays only the difference.
Because the markup equals 40% of base production cost, about $625 in combined base production costs generates $250 in management markup. For example, about 42 shirts with a $15 production cost selling at $30 equals about $1,260 in retail sales and $252 in markup. Results vary by product and price, and sales are not guaranteed.
The monthly minimum is not an additional fixed fee, a subscription, a commission or a cap on sales. Markup above the minimum is retained by Abundios and is not credited to a future month.
Payment Flow
- A customer places an order through your branded store.
- The store collects the customer's payment.
- Production and fulfillment costs are paid to the production provider.
- Taxes, payment-processing fees, discounts, refunds and other applicable expenses are accounted for.
- Abundios retains its 40% markup on the product's base production cost.
- The $250 monthly management minimum is reconciled.
- Your church's remaining proceeds are calculated.
- Your church receives its monthly payout and statement.
Authorized Church Purchases
Authorized pricing is applied automatically through approved customer accounts, customer tags, store segments or discount rules. The exact method depends on your store configuration.
Store Ownership
With a managed store, Abundios owns and operates the storefront, ecommerce configuration, automations and operating system used to deliver the service. Your church keeps its name, trademarks, logos and original designs.
It works much like leasing a professionally operated retail space: your church gets its own branded store without building or running the system behind it.
Either party may end managed service with 90 days' written notice. When managed service ends, your church keeps its eligible brand assets and original design files as provided in the agreement. The storefront, account configuration, automations and templates are not transferred.
If your church wants to own and operate its store, choose the Standalone Store Build.
Your Store Needs Your Voice
Abundios builds and operates the store, but your church needs to share it consistently. Stores that sell are the ones members hear about.
Without promotion, a store is unlikely to generate meaningful sales or proceeds.
- Announcements from the pulpit and on screens
- Bulletins, newsletters and church emails
- Your website, app and social media
- Ministry events, retreats and fellowship gatherings
How much does a church merch store cost?
Managed stores start at $2,500 for Essentials (up to 20 launch products), $4,500 for Professional (up to 40 launch products, ministry collections and a launch promotion kit), and $7,500 for Custom programs. Abundios also earns a 40% markup on each product's base production cost, with a $250 monthly minimum per store.
Can each ministry have its own collection?
Yes. The Professional tier supports multiple ministry collections and buyer groups, such as youth, choir and missions, in one store. Multi-campus and multi-store programs fit the Custom tier.
Can members give a donation through the store?
No. The store sells merchandise only and does not accept donations. Keep using your church's regular giving platform for tithes and offerings.
How long does setup take?
A standard Essentials store is usually ready about two weeks after we receive your logos, brand information, approvals, product selections and account information. Professional and Custom timelines are confirmed in your proposal.
Do we need to keep inventory?
No. Products are made when ordered and shipped directly to the buyer. Your staff and volunteers never stock or pack routine orders.
Who sets the retail prices?
Abundios works with your church to set retail prices that cover the managed product price, leave room for your proceeds and stay reasonable for your members. Prices are subject to Abundios' minimum sustainable price and final approval.
How does the $250 monthly minimum work?
The markup Abundios earns on qualifying orders is credited toward the $250 minimum. If the store earns less than $250 in markup in a month, your church pays only the difference. It is not a fee on top of sales or a cap on sales.
Can the church buy merch for staff, volunteers or events?
Yes. Authorized church representatives buy at the managed product price instead of the retail price. Your church doesn't earn proceeds on its own purchases, and the markup counts toward the monthly minimum.
When do we get paid?
Proceeds are paid on the 15th of the following month with a detailed statement. If the 15th falls on a weekend or banking holiday, payment is issued the next business day.
Are shipping and taxes included?
Unless your proposal says otherwise, shipping, taxes, payment-processing fees and special production charges are separate from product pricing.
Who owns the store?
With a managed store, Abundios owns and operates the storefront and the system behind it. Your church keeps its name, logos, trademarks and original designs.
Can we take over our managed store later?
The managed store is part of the Abundios operating system and isn't transferred when service ends. If your church later wants its own independently operated store, Abundios can provide a separate build and migration proposal. Managed-to-standalone conversions start at $5,000 and depend on the store's size, products, custom features, data and integrations.
Do you guarantee sales?
No. Abundios builds and operates the store, but your church needs to promote it to members, families and your community. The Professional tier includes a launch promotion kit, but sales are never guaranteed.
What about large orders?
Orders of 1,000 or more units of the same product and design are custom quoted and may require full payment or a deposit before production.
How do we end service?
Either party may end managed service with 90 days' written notice. The storefront is not transferred.
